Aims
and Objectives
The course is designed to provide the background knowledge
to students who intend to be professional financial
analysts in the financial industry. The course structure
is in line with the syllabus of CFA Examination Level
1. It prepares the students to take the CFA Level
1 examination upon the completion of this preparatory
course.
Mode
of Delivery
The course will be conducted by experienced market
practitioners with CFA qualification and / or those
successful candidates of the CFA Examination. To help
students mastering the skill of financial analysis,
the course will focus on exercises, sample examination
questionsand mock examinations, supplemented with
the textbooks and reference materials providedand
recommended by the lecturers apart from face to face
lectures. In addition, ad-hoc tutorial groups may
be organized to enable students to actively participate
in discussions and critically analyze the case studies,
which will be distributed during the tutorial groups.

HK$6,000 (Students are entitled to have a reimbursement
of 80% (total HK$4,800) of the tuition fee under Continuing
Education Fund (CEF) scheme providing that the students
fulfill the requirements of being qualified CEF applicants
and successfully complete the Course, i.e. the tuition
fee is only HK$1,200).

Completion Requirement
For the passing criteria, the students should obtain
40 percent in assessment and achieve 70 percent in
the attendance rate. If students fail in assessment,
they can re-take the examination on the condition
that they have achieved 70 percent in attendance rate.

in local or overseas universities OR
2. Completed Form 7 or above with a minimum of three
years working experiences in financial industry

organization founded in 1999. The
